D5 Render, a leading innovator in architectural visualization, left a lasting impression on thousands of attendees at the ASLA 2023 Conference on Landscape Architecture in Minneapolis by showcasing its cutting-edge software that seamlessly integrates real-time rendering with AI.
With more than 6,000 people in attendance, the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture is the largest annual gathering of landscape architects and allied professionals in the world. And this year, the three-day event from October 27-30, 2023, focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on landscape architecture, the power of strategic partnerships, and the carbon footprint of site construction. It also provided attendees with an opportunity to learn how to scale up their strategic initiatives with design work informed by science and inspired by innovative thinking.
D5 Render was proud to be a part of this incredible event and showcase the platform's robust features, including its real-time rendering capabilities, comprehensive asset library featuring over 3,500 plant models from across the globe (with an additional 200 new vegetation models recently added), and its innovative AI tool for spatial concept design. Leveraging these features was a game-changer for landscape architects in their day-to-day work. It enabled them to consistently achieve exemplary results with fast, high-quality animation output that allowed clients to experience designs in a lively and immersive environment.
But the real highlight of the conference was the presentation of 'Estrella Hall', an award-winning project. D5 rendered photorealistic animations for this project to stimulate a lifelike environment that allowed clients to feel the space, its scale, and even the interplay of natural light and shadow from different perspectives at different times of the day.
This project became a great example of how D5 could help architects and designers craft superior, more engaging, immersive experiences for their clients. And during the conference, staff used the project to demonstrate how D5's real-time rendering and asset library could be used to build such a scene. So, attendees were able to get a hands-on introduction to D5 as well as its practical applications with this interactive session and learn how to apply it to their own projects.
